This is where I need to put in more effort. As one of the other participants pointed out – we get out of our organizations in equal to what effort we put into them. Well, I have not received much, as I have not given much! I belong to only a couple of organizations and know I should attend at least one conference a year. I teach at a school that cannot afford to pay for memberships so I am hesitant to pay for many out of my own salary. I know this is an opportunity for training and networking and will make it a priority this year to get more involved.
